At the intersection of creation and good manners
On 12 October the caravels of Christopher Columbus landed in the “New World”: it is the day that everyone knows as the “discovery of # America”. A strongly symbolic date, which conventionally marks the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Modern Age.
The inhabitants of Compignano restore the Church of Santa Maria della Neve, built in 1452. On the ridge dominated by the medieval castle of Monte Lagello, it is still surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. Our oil farm is located a few meters from here, a fixed point for the culture of the territory and inspiration for modern olive growing.
1492, AT YOUR HOME
From those centuries-old olive trees that still produce fruits that are able to open the doors of taste, we get the extra virgin olive oil Colio® and the Colio BIO DOP CUM GRATIA, a link between past and future, tradition and innovation.
